My name is Arlen Crawford. I am a second generation recruiting professional and professional resume writer. I have 25+ years’ experience helping people obtain employment through writing their resume, providing interviewing counsel, job search guidance and encouragement.
I am dedicated to writing the finest resume to help you procure employment whenever you seek employment. My resumes strive to fulfill the goal of readability. Far too many resumes never get read. If a resume does not get read, your pursuit of employment with a specific company is a dead issue. Why would a resume fail to get read?
Most resumes are written from your perspective. When you write your own resume or have someone write your resume, you are probably thinking “how I am going to communicate all of my work experience and employment credentials in a document?” What you should be thinking is “how I am going to get my resume read?”
I write resumes that will be read by company or agency recruiters. How do I do that? I have previously worked as a professional recruiter in the following capacities: internal corporate recruiter, executive search recruiter, external staffing recruiter (permanent and temporary) and contract recruiter. I know the type of resume that a recruiter of any kind will read and what they will not read.
Your resume will have approximately 20 seconds to capture the reading attention of a recruiter, meaning that if they don’t see something that attracts their attention within 20 seconds, your resume will be discarded. I can and will write a document for you that eliminate obstacles that distract recruiters and eat up your 20 seconds. A bad resume format will greatly reduce your opportunity to attract a recruiter’s attention.
